Bible Society fundraiser a great school community event

Mr Peter Richardson

Many Indigenous Christians have never heard the Bible in their language. As a school community, we long for all people to know Jesus as their Saviour and so yesterday we raised money for the amazing work the Bible Society is doing on Indigenous Bible translations here in Australia.

Precious Seed

Rev Bruce Christian

My wife and I have just returned from a month away in South Australia. As we drove home from Broken Hill through the Riverina (taking the opportunity to catch up with some co-grandparents who are farmers at Illabo, just north of Junee) we were able to observe the amazing, transforming difference a bit of rain can make to our ‘sunburnt country’, our ‘wide, brown land’ (apologies to Dorothea Mackellar).

School Reports

Last year, partly because of the demands of remote learning, the school decided to issue the end of Semester 1 reports at the end of the holidays rather than at the beginning. This allowed teachers to assess and provide feedback on student learning until the end of Term 2. Some parents also gave positive feedback about providing reports at the end of the school holidays. Therefore, the school has decided to repeat this in 2021.

Mr Hartley on Sabbatical

For Prayer and Praise

We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10

  • Pray for God to fill us all with the knowledge of His will, with wisdom and spiritual understanding.
  • Thank God that the government continues to help fund Christian schools.
  • Pray for Year 12 as they study intensively for their trial exams next term.
  • Pray for the school’s building committee as they consider improvements to our facilities.
  • Pray for a time of rest for students, parents and staff over the winter break.

UNIVERSITY

EAS Is here to help - UAC

The Educational Access Scheme (EAS) can help applicants who have experienced significant educational disadvantage receive an offer to university.

In essence, EAS could boost your selection rank to a course if circumstances beyond your control have negatively impacted your Year 11 or 12 or equivalent studies.

'We understand that life can be hard and this can impact study,' said Adam Hennessy from UAC's Access team.

'If you have been disadvantaged in Year 11 and/or 12 (or equivalent), please apply for EAS.

Once you've finished your undergraduate application, you'll see a link to apply for EAS. You can also apply any time you log back in to your application. Just use the tab at the top of the application.
