Creative approaches to deliver quality lessons that provide depth and rigour

Mrs Natalie Bluhdorn

No matter whether we are learning face to face or remotely, we want to see learners who are brave and take risks. We love to see learners who are willing to face challenges with creativity and curiosity. We seek to develop learners who are purposeful and see value in learning and seeking new knowledge. These same qualities are those that we encourage in our teachers. Amongst the (many!) limitations that the virus and restrictions have brought to us, this has also been a time in which teachers have led with ingenuity, flexibility and compassion.

Focussing our energies in the right place

Rev Bruce Christian

I was reading in Psalm 95 earlier this week: “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care,…” (verses 6-7a), and it struck me anew how important it is for us in these stressful and troubled days, to have a clear picture in our minds of who OUR God IS, how he relates to us, and what this can mean for us as we struggle with the perplexities and uncertainties of what is happening these days. After all, we can only see things from a very LIMITED perspective in time and space!

For Prayer and Praise

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” - Zephaniah 3:17

  • Praise God for being in our midst, for being mighty to save, for rejoicing over his children with gladness, for quieting us by his love and for exulting over us with loud singing.
  • Pray for the Year 12 students. Pray for them as they continue to prepare for their HSC exams, as they make decisions for their future, and they continue to walk in the Lord. May God give them wisdom and discernment in the life decisions that they make.
  • Pray for students as they make their subject choices for next year.
  • Continue to pray for the families at school affected by illness, grief or the pandemic.
