Christian Schools – Stronger Together

Mr David Stonestreet

I have had the opportunity this year to attend several events for school principals. Last Friday, however, I attended for the first time a day solely for heads of independent NSW Christian schools from an association called Christian Education National (CEN). All these schools, like us, employ one hundred percent Christian staff, teach all subjects through the framework of a Biblical worldview, and seek to partner with parents in their God-given responsibility to teach, train and raise their children the ways of the Lord.

Parents and Senior Students Parking

Please do not park or stop across driveways or in no stopping zones at any time. Please also be considerate of our neighbours' lawns when parking during wet weather.

As well as jeopardising safety and upsetting our local community, failure to do so reflects badly on the school. We strongly urge parents to follow all road rules and signs, park legally and be mindful of neighbours' properties and access.

Mr Paul Carter

This year we will be farewelling a couple of our treasured Junior School Teachers.

Mrs Sue Robinson, who has been sharing 5ER with Mrs Sandra Ellis, will be retiring at the end of this year. Sue has been a much-loved member of the Junior School Staff for many years, loves teaching, is a life long learner, has taught various year groups and served in various roles.

New Student Leadership Team announced

Each year, I have the privilege of working closely with the Year 12 Student Leadership Team. Over the last 12 months I have been thoroughly impressed and encouraged by the current Year 12 leaders. Time and time again they have demonstrated a willingness to serve and contribute in so many meaningful ways to our school culture here at Shire Christian School. It has been a blessing to see these students step up in the many ways that they have.

This Is My Father’s World

Rev Bruce Christian

I was trying to think of how I could encourage our school community in these anything-but-encouraging days, and the words of an old hymn by Maltbie Babcock came to mind: “This is my Father's world, and to my listening ears all nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres.
