2025 School Survey Results

Earlier this year, I commissioned an independent, confidential 'experience' survey of all school parents (Prep to Year 12), staff and students (Years 6 to 12) as part of our commitment to continually monitor and improve the quality of education we provide to our students.

This information is most important for the School for our operational and strategic planning, as well as for tracking changes in our performance.

For the 2025 review, a total of 315 parents completed the survey.

The surveys were extensive and covered in excess of 300 aspects of education at the School.

I am pleased to be able to share an overview of the results of the parent surveys below.

Devotion – Refreshed

Mrs Rachel Robinson

During the holidays I was reading 2 Timothy and noticed a reference to a man named Onesiphorus (pronounced “O-nuh-si-fuh-ruhs”). This is Paul’s final letter that he is writing whilst he is in prison. He knows that death is imminent for him as he awaits execution. Paul is writing to Timothy, whom he mentored and travelled with, teaching him how to teach God’s word faithfully and bring people the good news of Jesus. I love Paul’s writing and one phrase in particular that he wrote about Onesiphorus struck me.

Mrs Ruth Cooper

Welcome to our final term of 2025! We have an exciting jam-packed term ahead.
Our “Be”s of the week allows us the opportunity to reflecting on the importance of growing and bearing fruit in our Christian walks. This term, we will delve into Galatians 5 and immerse ourselves in exploring the characteristics of a faith-filled life. We’ll examine the ‘fruits’ we are called to bear, such as love, joy and peace, and how we can apply them to our daily lives.

Orientations for 2026 begin

This week, we began the first of our 2026 orientations, and it was such a joy to welcome our smallest learners – the 2026 Preppies! The children enjoyed a wonderful morning getting to know their new classmates and teachers as they took their first steps into school life.

Stage 2 head off to camp

Years 4 and 5 have had 2 spectacular days each at Anglican Youthworks campsite, Rathane. What a privilege it was to visit the students at camp and share in their laughter, camaraderie and team-work as they used problem solving to build rafts and catapults. They maneuvered canoes, braved sailing adventures, took risks rock climbing and even experienced fishing along the picturesque Port Hacking River. We praise God for this time of forging friendships and building personal resilience.

Join us for prayer

Our next parent prayer meeting is due to be held on Friday 31 October, Week 3, and is held in the top room of the IRC, from 8am. May I encourage you to join together in praying for the staff, students, and families within our school community. It also happens to be Reformation Day, which celebrates the anniversary of the day Martin Luther is said to have posted his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. We remember the fundamental grounds of our faith in Christ and His work on the cross, not by our own works. It’s where we derive the five solas of the Reformation including Scripture alone, Christ alone, faith alone, grace alone, and glory to God alone.

Standing Firm

Rev Bruce Christian

At the Church I attend, in the last couple of weeks we have had a couple of sermons that I find particularly helpful when I read Daniel Chapter 8. One was on Nehemiah 6, and the other on 2 Peter 1.

In the NT passage, Peter is telling his readers - who are facing severe persecution for being followers of Jesus - “So I will always remind you of [the basic truths of the Christian faith], even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have. I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.” I sometimes feel a bit guilty about ‘banging on’ about the same things over and over in TQW, but at least my Pastor’s word assured me that even the Apostle Peter was able to confirm why this was important!

For prayer and praise

Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:4-6
  • Praise God that He is so good and worthy to be praised!
  • Thank God that He hears our prayers and pray for those who struggle with anxiety.
  • Pray for our HSC students as they sit their exams.
  • Give thanks for the Years 4 and 5 camps and pray that the students’ friendships will continue to grow, and that they will have a positive influence on each other.
  • Pray for godly wisdom for Mr Stonestreet, Mr Carter, Mrs Robinson, Mr Collins, Mrs Cooper and Mr Watters as they lead our school.
