For the first time, APRA and ARIA award-winning singer songwriter – and long-time friend of Shire Christian School – Colin Buchanan will take to the stage in a unique collaboration with our students. Spanning Prep to Year 12, this one-off concert on Thursday 31 August, starting at 7pm, will feature many of Colin’s favourites performed by Colin and his Shire Christian friends.
It’s an event full of familiar songs, familiar faces and an exciting re-imagining of the music that has featured so consistently in the life of our school for three decades - some of which was first performed by Colin in our classrooms when he was our primary music teacher.
“Not only is this a first for me, I think it’s an exciting opportunity for Shire Christian students and me to share the stage and bring something very special to family, friends and the whole Shire community," said Colin.
"I can’t wait!”
This one-off event will include collaborations and performances of Colin’s kids, Christian and country music – plus lots of surprises along the way.
