This year we’re launching a new ‘Learning Together Events Series’, designed to help students, teachers and parents contend with relevant topics to support healthy wellbeing.
Under the Resilient domain of our Learning for Life framework, our first event is on Wednesday 12 June and looks at anxiety, presented by our friends at Anglicare.
During the day, students from Years 9 and 10 will participate in a workshop which will give strategies to manage and prevent anxiety, helping them to ‘stay steady’.
Our staff will also receive training after school and then our parents and community have the opportunity to attend an evening event where they will hear about how they can help their children to work through the same strategies and ideas.
A child's mental health and wellbeing impacts all facets of their life including physical, social, emotional, academic and spiritual development. As anxiety continues to rise as a significant issue for young people today, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
Bookings are essential. Book your free tickets today! A light supper will be available from 7pm. The sessions will begin at 7:30pm and will be finished by 9pm.
