Opportunities to Participate

It is exciting to see so many students participating in various activities in the life of the school. This year we have commenced Dance Classes on Tuesdays and the classes are full and children are enjoying the energetic lessons. We also have more than 20 students participating in the running group on Friday mornings.

Strong interest in Shire Christian School

Over 50 families were taken on group tours of the Junior and Secondary Schools this week. There has been lots of enrolment interest in the school recently, with parents looking up to a couple of years ahead, applying for the traditional entrance years of Prep, Kindergarten and Year 7.

The Bible Society and Koorong have teamed up again to release a free Children’s Book in time for Easter. The Seriously Surprising Story is written for younger readers, but adults and children of all ages will be captivated by the colours, characters and unfolding story.

Winter Uniform

All students are required to wear full winter school uniform from the beginning of Term 2. When the temperature is forecast to exceed 25 degrees in Terms 2 and 3, students may choose to wear their summer uniform on that day.

Winter uniform fittings are available at the Uniform Shop by appointment only.

Lost Property

Unnamed items in Lost Property must be collected. If your child is missing an item, please have them check the lost property cupboard in Student Services by the end of Week 9. If these items are unclaimed they will be re-homed.

  • Praise God for the Lord Jesus Christ who came into the world to save sinners.
  • Pray for all the students to grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and what he came to do.
  • Pray for wisdom and discernment for the school board members who serve our school.
  • Pray for the teachers as they prepare and give lessons in their classrooms.
  • Pray for the Year 12 students as they continue to learn and prepare for their HSC exams.
  • Thank God for the administrative staff who patiently see to all sorts of enquiries and needs of the students.
