Mr Brett Hartley

As a school principal who has been working with teenagers for 30 years, the title of David Gillespie's recent book TEEN BRAIN Why screens are making your teenager depressed, anxious and prone to lifelong addictive illnesses – and how to stop it now compelled me to read what he had to say. I can strongly recommend the book to parents of current and future teenagers.

Sugary treats, science and shoeboxes

What do Cru, Science Week and Operation Christmas Child have in common? We have a very exciting and special Cru event coming up in Week 7.

Come and hear from Dr Van Holst as he speaks of how God has revealed himself through nature. He will challenge the assumption that being a scientist precludes Christian faith. Instead, by studying God's creation, we can see his Glory.

During lunchtime, Krispy Kreme Donuts will be sold for $2 each. The proceeds for this will be used to pay for the postage for the shoeboxes packed by our school students and to support Cru.

For Prayer and Praise

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love he LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie don, and when you rise.  Deuteronomy 6:4-6
  • Pray that we will love the LORD our God with all our heart, soul, and might.
  • Pray that we will have wisdom as we teach our children when we sit, walk, lie down and rise.
  • Give thanks for the teachers at our school who strive to live godly examples as they teach the students.
  • Pray for the students and staff involved in the Madagascar musical.
  • Pray for those who are sick, or grieving or riddled with anxiety in our school community.
  • Give thanks for the school board who seek to sit humbly under God’s word as they make decisions for our school.
