It is with great pleasure that I announce Mrs Ruth Cooper as the next Head of Junior School at Shire Christian School.
Ruth is an exceptional educator and leader who brings a wealth of experience in Christian Schooling to the role, having held a variety of teaching and leadership positions at Broughton Anglican College, William Carey Christian School, and Shire Christian over the last 24 years.
With her strong background in education and deep understanding of the unique needs of young learners, Ruth is the perfect fit to lead our Junior School towards continued excellence, helping students to lead purposeful lives of learning and service, to the Glory of God.
Ruth said she is both thrilled and humbled to be appointed to the role.
“After a long affiliation with the school, God has placed a deep desire within my heart to lead, encourage, and serve the learning community here. I count it both a privilege and responsibility to lead the Junior School in focussing on God’s Word as central to all we do at Shire Christian. I am especially excited about developing our pastoral care program which is a core component in leading our students to a greater understanding of our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. I look forward to working together on new challenges, and modelling both a love of learning, and a love for our Creator God, for our students.”
Against a number of strong external applicants, Ruth shone through as the clear choice for this role. I am confident that Ruth will continue to make a significant impact on our students and contribute to the success of our Junior School learning community.
Many thanks also to Mr Tim Bluhdorn, who in partnership with Mrs Cooper has bought excellent leadership and stability to the Junior School over the last 8 months.
Mrs Cooper will officially begin on Monday, 22 May.
Mr David Stonestreet
Principal
