From next term we are transitioning from SEQTA to a product called Compass as our new school management system.
By accessing the Compass app or web version, you will be able to:
view and edit your child’s details
enter attendance notes including late arrivals and absences
check assessments and feedback
view the school calendar
access information for events and give permission for excursions
make payments and setup billing
Compass works a little differently to SEQTA – it will look and work differently, but has a number of additional excellent features. Over time, it will be an improved experience and provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for parents.
Because your access to SEQTA ceases at the beginning of next term, you will receive information on how to access Compass during the second week of the holidays via email. This will give you time to get Compass up and running before SEQTA is no longer available.
Key details about this transition
You will have access to SEQTA until Wednesday 15 October.
All SEQTA data will be kept and accessible by the school, however records of 2025 learning tasks and attendance will not show in Compass.
Past Academic Reports will be accessible on Compass.
All current family, parent and child details will be synced and checked, respecting all current privacy settings.
Only parents of the 2026 Year 12 will receive assessment feedback via Compass in Term 4.
Progressive feedback for all other years will be launched in 2026.
Kindergarten to Year 11 Semester 2 Reports will be available in Compass towards the end Term 4.
From Term 4 the process of notifying the school of a late arrival or absence will be changed and the current attendance number will cease working. You will instead be able to notify the school of late arrivals, early departures or absences via Compass.
An amazing team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes for over a year to position us well for this launch. We would value your patience as we make the transition.
Our team is excited about this improvement, and we look forward to continuing to provide our students, staff and families with a school information system that supports learning and wellbeing.
