Several students receive HSC Showcase nominations

The HSC Major Work nominations keep coming! So far 10 Shire Christian School students have been nominated for major exhibitions, two in multiple showcases, an outstanding achievement.

Congratulations to our Year 12, 2023 graduates:

Harrison Shore – music composition nominated for possible inclusion in ENCORE, a selection of outstanding music performances and written compositions held at the Sydney Opera House.

Hannah Larrigaudiere – music performance nominated for possible inclusion in ENCORE, a selection of outstanding music performances and written compositions held at the Sydney Opera House.

Daina Watson – nominated for possible inclusion in CALLBACK, a selection of outstanding performances and projects from HSC dance students.

Tyler Denning, Drake Harding, Evan Theodorou and Zac Young – nominated for possible inclusion in OnSTAGE for their HSC Drama group devised performance JACK, a consideration of the mental health struggles that plague men in our society and the question of who is to blame for the consequences that sometimes occur.

Tyler Denning – a further nomination for his solo performance Ruben Guthrie. 

Zac Young, Matthew Rolland and Milayna Batterham – individually nominated for possible inclusion in Shape, an exhibition of exemplary Major Projects developed by HSC Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design students.

Tasha Lau – artwork selected for inclusion in Art Rules, an exhibition in the Broadhurst Gallery at Hazelhurst Arts Centre.

These students are great examples of young people who challenge themselves to refine their God-given skills, take risks in their education, use their creativity and diligently work hard.
