The Shire Christian School food technology facilities were completely refurbished this year, fully equipped with new appliances and a striking 75-inch demonstration monitor and camera.
The room has been transformed into an inspiring culinary space, designed to engage and provide opportunities for students to develop valuable practical skills.
Shire Christian School commissioned Laycock Constructions to overhaul the room, installing seven convection ovens and cooktops in bays suitable for group work. Bright lighting and large modern tiles have brought a fresh, contemporary feel to the space. The ceiling mounted remote pan-tilt-zoom camera enables teachers to display live close-up images of cooking demonstrations to a class, maximising engagement and learning.
