SocS Puppet Show helps young students develop social skills

On Tuesday the K-2 children were treated to a SocS puppet show, a programme created at Shire Christian School to help young students develop social skills and resilience.

Jungle Jane told everyone that there were some “Missing Children” lost in the jungle! Our students didn't just watch but were involved in helping to problem solve in the Jungle!

In small groups, ably led by our Year 10 drama students, the K-2 children discussed what would be a wise choice to solve some problems. They then acted out scenarios for us all to learn from. In the end all the children were safely out of the jungle, the crocodile did not eat anyone, the Chicken Burger Spider was well fed and Sammy was found (after also being lost) and everyone learned about making wise choices!

Many thanks to our Year 10 drama students, Mrs Spencer and Sammy for making the jungle come alive!
