It is with great pleasure and significant pride that we congratulate Sophie on being accepted for inclusion in the 'Young Writers Showcase' book published later this year for exceptional Extension 2 Major Works.
Sophie composed an evocative creative non-fiction piece that explored the life and art of Joy Hester, an Australian artist from whom she had developed an interest. This is testament to Sophie's skill and effort in undertaking such a task and her exceptional desire to always accept feedback, particularly from Miss Lauren Dalrymple - her teacher mentor, and propel herself to an insightful understanding and execution of the nuances in depicting such a figure.
