Trusting God

Rev Bruce Christian

I really feel for people, especially young people, who are facing a challenging and uncertain future in a world that offers them little comfort and hope for a settled career, settled domesticity and relationships, settled weather patterns, etc. These are truly troubled and troubling times.

Before school additional learning program resumes

All students learn Reading and Maths skills at different rates. Some students find learning fun and they eagerly embrace a challenge. Others quickly grasp a new concept but struggle due to a lack of drill and practice. Another student may need further repetition and a slower paced explanation to achieve competence.

If any of these descriptions apply to your child you may like to consider enrolling them in BOOST for 2022, to help them “Boost” their skills.

For prayer and praise

“But as for me, I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7

  • Thank God that He is the God of our salvation, that He is trustworthy and that through Jesus, we know we can approach Him in prayer.
  • Praise God for the summer school holidays and the time of refreshment and rest.
  • Pray for all the new students, staff and families to our school. Pray especially that the new students will be welcomed and will quickly make lasting friendships.
  • Pray for the students who find school difficult, and were experiencing anxiety about the new school year ahead. Pray for peace and a great year for those students.
  • Praise God for the teaching staff, who teach with such great skill. Pray that they will continue to be a Godly example to each other and to the students and families.
